Unique Device to Attach Spout to Can

This plastics can manufacturer was using a corrugated paperboard package to secure the pouring spout to the container. Faced with product design changes and pressures to reduce packaging costs this thermoformed device was designed, which attaches the various spouts to the container, replacing the corrugated device.

The clear recycled PET package holds several different spout designs to the container and display the printed insert. Pouring spouts are pre-packaged and simply punched on to the can threads prior to the finial packaging operation. The advantages are reduced costs, reduced inventories and increase marketing appeal.
