Haydn R. Forward is Vice President of Sales
for Specialty Manufacturing, Inc., a custom thermoformer
based in San Diego, California, specializing in technical
expertise and design consultation in pressure forming
of extruded thermoplastic sheet, resulting in award winning
recognition.
He began his career in thermoforming after 5 years of specialized
management experience in the FRP (fiber reinforced polyester)
electrical enclosure and lighting fixture industries,
while attending Utah Technical College, in SLC, Ut.
Haydn currently has 17 years of experience
in the thermoforming industry coordinating component
design with the pressure form process. He has developed
and presented in- depth seminars to engineers and designers
around the U.S. and overseas, intended to further promote
the pressure form process. He has consulted as an advisor
on feature articles developed for the thermoform process
and submitted educational project information in support
of these publications.
His work has resulted in development
of technical plastic components, produced successfully
under cost reduction programs while incorporating exceptional
speed to finished product.
Haydn has been a member of the SPE since
1995 and is also a member of the board of directors
for Specialty Manufacturing, Inc. and currently is responsible
for marketing, sales and product design.
